IoT Sydney Meetup

When do you meet?
The 4th Thursday of every month. You can RSVP to the next meetup here.

Where do you meet?
At the Web Directions office just near Central Station in Sydney.

What's the format?
The usual format is an a short introduction and news from the past month, then the first talk, a break for networking and drinks followed by a second talk.

What time do you start and when do you finish?
Come along at 6pm, we start the presentations at 6:30 start. We generally finish at 8pm or sometimes a little later.

Can I get there by public transport?
Yes we're right next door to Central Station so it easy to get to via bus or train.

Is the parking near by?
There is some on-street parking available near by. See Parkopedia for more information.

Does it cost anything?
No it's free.

Can I bring along a friend?
Yes you can bring along more than one if you want.

Are drinks and food included?
We have drinks (beer, water, soft drinks) but don't normally provide food. There are lots of places near by where you can grab something to eat.

How many people show up?
It varies but usually between 50 and 80 people, sometimes more.

Is there a wait list?
Yes, RSVPs are limited to the first 100 people. If you're on the wait list is very likely you still be able to come along as we get people who can't make it.

Do I need to RSVP?
No, but we sometimes have prize draws are are taken from the list people who do, so it's always a good idea.

There are giveaways?
Most of the time yes, but you have to RSVP, and you have to stay until the end for the prize draw.

Help I'm locked out!
The door normally closes at 6pm. If you're late just contact us on meetup and we'll send someone down to let you in.

Do you have IoT Sydney stickers?
Yes.

Do you have IoT Sydney chocolates?
We did but they have all been eaten. I may make some more for a future meetup.
